Roadmap

A Greener
Future

We work to reduce the environmental impact of our inks across their entire life cycle: from the choice of ingredients to the recovery of waste, without compromising their performance on press.

A greener
future

Emissions

Progressive reduction of emissions throughout our production processes.

Ingredients

Increasingly safer and biodegradable ingredients, without sacrificing machine performance.

Circularity

Commitment to the circular economy: from formula design to waste recovery.

Full Lifecycle

The ink
that returns

We design every ink across its entire journey — from formulation to waste, and back to the start. Four stages that feed into each other.

Clean formulation

Each ink is engineered prioritizing safer, lower-impact components right from the source.

Efficient production

Processes optimized to reduce energy, water consumption, and emissions with every batch.

High-performance use

Greater durability means fewer reprints, less rework, and less waste in the market.

Recovery

We close the loop with our clients: packaging, leftovers, and waste managed responsibly.

A cycle that never stops: what we recover in stage 04 feeds right back into stage 01 formulation.

Worklines

Actions,
not promises

Line 01

Safer formulas

Progressive replacement of critical components with lower-impact alternatives for people and the environment.

Line 02

Less waste

Lean, on-demand batch production to minimize leftovers and product expiration.

Line 03

Full traceability

Every batch is traceable from end to end: we know what’s in it, where it comes from, and where it goes.

Line 04

Continuous improvement

We measure, review, and enhance our impact indicators across every production cycle.

Frequently asked questions

Green on the inside,
clear on the outside

Does a sustainable ink perform as well as a conventional one? +
Yes, and that is precisely our job: reformulating without compromising press performance. Our most sustainable inks maintain the exact same color accuracy, adhesion, and durability. If an alternative doesn’t meet the standard, it doesn’t leave the lab.
What does «increasingly safer ingredients» mean? +
It means that with every formula review, we replace components with safer and more biodegradable alternatives as they become available, without sacrificing performance. The composition of each batch is documented and made available to the client.
How do you measure emissions reduction? +
We compare energy consumption and process emissions against our internal baseline, batch by batch. We will publish the metrics once validated: we prefer verified data over marketing figures.
Can I use your documentation in my brand’s communications? +
Yes. We provide you with the technical documentation for each batch so your marketing and compliance teams can back up environmental claims with real data—a requirement increasingly mandated by European anti-greenwashing regulations.
What happens with packaging and leftover ink? +
We work with our clients to close the loop: responsible packaging management, recovery of leftovers, and on-demand production planning to prevent waste from being generated in the first place. The best wasted ink is the one that was never manufactured.
Verified compliance

Certifications
and compliance

RoHS

Restriction of hazardous substances

Directive (EU) 2015/863 · 2011/65/EU

Reports certifying that ranges such as INDURA, in its various colours, and BIO-LED Black comply with the limits for heavy metals, flame retardants and phthalates.

Swiss Ordinance

Food contact

Swiss Ordinance · Annexes 6 and 10

Intertek Polychemlab confirms that the BIO-LED formulations in yellow, magenta, cyan and black meet the composition requirements for food-contact materials.

DIN EN 71-3

Toy safety

EN 71-3:2019 Cat. 3 · Dir. 2009/48/EC

TÜV Rheinland certifies compliance with the migration limits for elements such as aluminium, lead and zinc, guaranteeing their safe use in toy materials.

REACH

Chemical protection

REACH Regulation

Specific lines such as the Cardboard Inks are developed in full compliance with the current regulations on the protection of human health and the environment.

EuPIAStrict compliance

EuPIA · TSR

Complete absence of Vinyl Caprolactam and strict compliance with the EuPIA regulations (TC, 2015-03-11) throughout the entire formulation.
